I finally got around to seeing Clerks 2... after like almost a year. Sounds about right.


Hysterically stuff. They really amped up the shock value from the last one. And the ending really brings things to a close (unless of course Kevin decides he wants to make a part 3.)

I think the funniest parts had to be the Monmouth County, NJ references it had. Since both Kevin Smith and the Quick Stop were/are located in Leonardo, NJ, a lot of the stuff from the movies deal with that area.

A lesser known fact... when Clerks 1 was being filmed I was with my Grandparents just a few short miles away in the Middletown area of Monmouth County. In fact at the very beginning, Dante and Randal are driving on Route 35 in Middletown near the Sears (when you see the Wendy's. That's the Sears mall.) and the liquor store with that giant clown on the sign. Also Pizza Hut and McD's are both next to one another.

Best ref in the movie was Dante mentioning he'd taken classes as Brookdale (which I am currently almost practically done with in getting my graphic design degree in.)

Ahhh... fun stuff.
